S. K., a Mahommedan boy, aged 16, has had a reducible inguinal hernia on the left side ever since he could remember. About a year ago he had a fall and hurt himself in the left groin. This resulted in a painful swelling which burst and discharged pus. Gradually the pus diminished and a swelling appeared in this region which five days before admission into the hospital became large, burst open and discharged fsecal matter.
